Vegetation and soil descriptions of natural forests in Thua Thien Hue province

In 2018, the project team, leading by Dr. Roland Cochard and Dr. Ngo Tri Dung, has put a great effort to set up 100 study plots along a 30-km transect from low to upland natural forest of Thua Thien Hue province. The data set, including tree diversity, soils-vegetation as well as their relations will provide better insights into what the "nature" of natural forests are. The team also expects to use the information to contribute to the improvement of the forest quality maps of Thua Thien Hue province.
